The Consumer Team recently participated in a workshop, geared towards familiarising the whole SADC Team on product usage in the market. The two-day session included a visit to Mamma Drinkie, a Commercial Brewer. Here the team engaged with a traditional brewer, with the opportunity to ask questions relating to how the brew was made, ingredients used, the frequency of brewing and dosage of yeast.
The team’s baking skills were then put to the test. We were divided into groups, given ingredients and a recipe. We were tasked to produce bakes that are commonly made by the consumer and commercial bakers. Great fun was had by all and the team walked away with a better understanding of product usage.
